Santander City Council
In 2013, Santander’s City Council launched the Santander City Brain to inspire a solution hub for the city, open to participation from its citizens. In 2020, the project became the Santander City Brain eco, with the objective of building a greener city together with the citizens of Santander. In this new stage, citizens can share ideas on sustainability. But apart from hosting an ideas community, Santander City Brain eco also includes an observatory for trends and all the municipal initiatives regarding sustainability. Since its beginnings, the project enjoys the patronage of Banco Santander.

Santander City Brain eco:
building a more sustainable smart city
Santander’s citizens can share their ideas in the community’s five categories: Sustainable Mobility, Smart Tourism, Citizen-friendly Urbanism, Circular and Consumer Economy, and Local Trade & Economy. In this new period, Santander City Brain eco will also become a tool to share information and raise awareness regarding sustainability.
